We're going camping!!    Like so many folks, I've lost my home to foreclosure so no more garden for a bit. I ended up owing more on it than it was worth so it's probably a good thing. I also really hated living in a condo - no yard to mow, etc. I'm reducing my carbon footprint, getting rid of excess stuff, and becoming much more mobile.

Since I'm a carpenter (apprentice), I'm building myself a new home - I'm building a littler camper for the back of my little (tiny) truck. I figured that it would all be a bit easier if I turned this into as much of an adventure as possible. I'll have my two black kittens with me. Sure am glad my little truck is a long bed instead of like most of the new ones. I'll need some cooling & lights so I'm putting a solar panel on the roof (schematic for solar). Thanks to the public library, I will still have internet access. I have a laptop with WiFi. I plan to keep my site up and current. I can also keep in touch via email.

 

The kittens (2) are learning to wear a harness. If successful, they'll be able to go out for 'walks'. I'm glad I had read up on it first. When you put a harness on a cat, they can't walk. They just lay down. When they really have to get somewhere, they crawl on their stomach. Even after wearing it for an hour a day for a week, they still (think they) can not walk unless they get distracted. They are also learning to drink out of a water bottle like hamsters & guinea pigs use. Charli loves it, but Nicki hasn't got it yet.
